A Floating Sculpture

I treated ASH just like my sculpture – part of the same evolving language that’s shaped every piece in the Ukii universe. For years, I've explored symmetry, weight, and shadow through form alone. This piece carries that lineage. I've lost track of time on this piece, now it lives at the quiet edge of ritual and utility as a porcelain sculpture that just happens to function as a tray. For objects, for smoking, or for nothing at all.

A Unique Identity

Owning ASH isn’t just about having something rare, it’s about having something that mirrors the part of you that resists being mass-defined. The obsidian-black glaze is layered with extra gloss that catches light like liquid stone. The matte silver finish reveals a hidden sparkle, like static frozen midair. When it lives in your space, it won’t just say you have taste. It will say you saw something others didn’t, and chose it before they even knew to look.

Craftmanship at Its Finest

ASH is made through an 11-step, entirely hand-crafted process. It not only took me hundreds of hours to sculpt, but also a year long of prototyping to really make it happen. Its floating base demanded impossible balance. We used 6 molds and 7 rounds of color testing, and it needs to be fired 3 times including the bottom tip. Dozens of prototypes were tested under shifting light, obsessively adjusted until the unreal could pass for real. Sculpted to feel dimensional from any perspective, over 50 days were poured into each one refining its form – firing, re-firing, adjusting, restarting, hardened to 1380°C. ASH is handcrafted in Jingdezhen, a legendary porcelain city of thousand years history. I made sure it is the best from China and pushed the skills to their edge. The truth about China is if you can pay for the best, these guys can make top-tier quality stuff, and I put together all the best on each step.

Premium Quality

We used the best materials-highest grade of raw mineral clay make it super solid and anti-impact. It is heavyweight, heat-resistant, scratch free. Black is coated with extra shinning layer to make the high glossy surface. Silver has a in-depth, detailed with a texture surface and a subtle matte silver finish yet reflective.

ASH is equally at home holding rings, watches, or keys – everyday objects that deserve better than a drawer. Its smooth, scratch-resistant glaze protects delicate surfaces, while the sculptural form elevates whatever rests inside. ASH can also be treated for nothing, just like any sculpture.

A box you’ll want to keep, not toss. From the first moment of contact, it feels like what it is: something worth holding onto.

Metal Card

Every ASH owners are granted with a VIP card, made with fine 12 mm thick, full-metal card with a brushed surface finish. It is engraved with my hand-drawn lines. Member benefit includes first access to future drops, and authentication with built-in chip.

How It Was Born

Sculpted by Hand

ASH began with a simple question—how to create an ashtray unlike any other, yet still fully functional. Drawing inspiration from sculptural forms, the design started with a floating base supported by delicate contact points, then evolved through hundreds of hours of digital sculpting, sketching, and refining every curve. Balancing style with utility, it was shaped to accommodate both cigarettes and cigars, ensuring comfort, balance, and elegance in use. To ensure the sculpture truly embodied the vision, the final design was rendered and animated to study how light and shadow interacted with its flowing surfaces—confirming that every subtle curve and refinement was worth it. Through countless micro-adjustments, late-night refinements, and light studies, ASH emerged as a precise, emotional creation—alive with shifting highlights and a presence that transforms with every angle. Every curve was tested. Every proportion rebalanced. Dozens of versions were printed and examined under shifting light, chasing a feeling more than a form. Even after the design was finalized, I wasn't sure it could be made. That’s how I knew it was worth trying.

Super Hard to Make

ASH was not born for simplicity. It was born for resonance. The process begins with high-grade porcelain clay, poured and molded into 6 parts. Each is manually trimmed, polished, and balanced before undergoing a 3-stage glaze firing – with patching and re-glazing in between. The tiniest support feet must be fired again for even coverage. Temperatures reach 1380°C to eliminate impurities and fuse the piece into its final, enduring form. From one of the finest clays in the world and decade-experienced artisans from Jingdezhen to the high-gloss black finish or rich matte surface, every step is a deliberate choice – tested 7 rounds of colors to get the correct one, one that reflects our obsession with beauty, symmetry, and timelessness.

I use the best materials available. ASH is super solid and heavy for porcelain because of the amount of fine kaolin and thickness of glaze. Multiple revisions happened on both black and silver to make sure, they deliver the art level visual effect. Countless prototype costs. We made so many trials and failure to be able to make it real, and there were times I almost give up, but it was my community encouragement and passion encouraged me to keep going, I want to take the opportunity to thank you.

Designed with Care

It’s not just about the product—I make sure every detail matters. For example, I applied a soft-touch finish to the entire box, making it super soft and smooth., and because of that in case your hand slips, I’ve also designed the inside of the box using premium-quality materials that can withstand extreme conditions, while still allowing ASH to be easily removed.

You can drop it from a standing height and ASH will remain completely unscathed — not just because of its solid design and the top-grade kaolin clay we use, but also thanks to its drop-tested protective packaging. I hope that all our future products can be like this, taking into account all the different situations you might encounter.
